Start with the decision
Every guide begins with a specific reader decision: whether a temporary washer setup is feasible, how much drying space one load needs, or when room moisture calls for a smaller load. We list the constraints that could make the answer change.
Use the strongest available source
- Current manufacturer manual for model-specific connection, clearance, power, load, maintenance, and warning information.
- Government or standards-based guidance for care labeling, indoor moisture, energy, and public-safety context.
- Original measurements or documented hands-on tests when we have performed them.
- Retail listings only for volatile details that are clearly labeled and rechecked; not as authority for safety instructions.
- User reports as signals for questions to investigate, never as proof that a product is safe or universally compatible.
Separate fact from estimate
A manufacturer dimension is a sourced fact for the stated model and manual version. A suggested rail-length allowance is a planning estimate. We label the second as an assumption and expose it in the tool rather than giving it false precision.
What “tested” means
We reserve “tested,” “we found,” and similar firsthand language for documented physical work. A future test record will include the product identity, acquisition, test date, setup, measurements, repeated runs where relevant, limitations, and any manufacturer contact.
Reading manuals, comparing specifications, using a product database, or summarizing user reports is research—not hands-on testing.
How AI is used
AI tools may assist with outlines, draft language, data transformation, internal-link suggestions, test cases, accessibility checks, and repetitive publishing tasks. They do not supply publication authority.
A human review must verify claims against the cited source, remove unsupported certainty, check calculations and links, review commercial disclosure, and approve publication. AI-generated product experience is prohibited.
Update and review cycle
Each guide displays a review date. High-change pages—product roundups, retailer information, prices, program terms, and model availability—will require more frequent checks than evergreen workflow guides. A source change, reader correction, safety notice, or calculation issue can trigger an immediate review.
Commercial independence
Affiliate eligibility or commission rate is not a scoring input. When a commercial link exists, the page will disclose it close to the recommendation and the site-wide disclosure remains available. We will include a non-affiliate source when it is the clearest way to verify a claim.
